The caretaker period for the NSW Election commenced on 1 March 2019. Accordingly, no ministerial press releases or related information issued by the Government from 1 March 2019 will be available on this website. For copies of recently-issued ministerial press releases or information on the election policies of any political party, please go to the website of the relevant political party.

Cabinet Standing Committee on Communication and Government Advertising

All advertising campaigns with a cost likely to exceed $1,000,000 require the approval of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Communication and Government Advertising (CGA).

NSW Government agencies should be mindful to include sufficient time to seek approval from the committee. Contact Government Communications for more information and to discuss proposed items for CGA agendas.

Prior to lodging a submission to the Standing Committee, the following requirements of the Government Advertising Act 2011 must be completed: 

  1. Peer review
  2. Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)
  3. Compliance Certificate

The completed CBA and Compliance Certificate are required attachments to the Cabinet Submission.
